Why do we verify your BMI?

Under new UK regulations, any pharmacy or doctor offering weight loss injections such as Wegovy or Mounjaro must independently your height and weight (BMI) to make sure they are prescribing safely. Anyone not independently verifying your BMI is breaking the regulations.

We offer two verification methods, either:

• Video Call: You just need a smartphone or a computer with webcam, scales and a height measurement. Our Pharmacist will verify your height and weight over a short 10-minute video call. Schedule a video call the same or next day you order your treatment.
• Home Visit: One of our nurses will visit you in-person at your home or work. We cover the whole of the UK. They will bring their own equipment and it should take no more than 15 minutes. Appointments are usually scheduled within 5-7 days from ordering your treatment.

Both options are FREE and included in the cost of your treatment.

From ordering to receiving your treatment usually takes between 3-4 days with a Video Call and 5-10 days with a Home Visit

We also offer free on-going support and a free annual blood test monitoring your Kidney, Liver, Pancreas and Cholesterol.

What is Mounjaro?

Mounjaro contains the active ingredient Tirzepatide. It helps you lose weight by working on two key areas to help you feel less hungry but also reduce cravings.

It has been shown to help 96% of patients lose up to 25% of their body weight over 52 weeks alongside an enhanced balanced, calorie-conscious diet and regular physical activity.

How effective is Mounjaro?

Clinical trials have shown that Mounjaro could achieve at least 20% weight loss after using it for 52 weeks when used with healthy changes to lifestyle and diet

How do I use Mounjaro®?

Mounjaro comes in 6 doses ranging from 2.5mg (Starting dose) up to 15mg (the maintenance dose).

Mounjaro is taken once a week and will be supplied as a single pre-filled pen at the appropriate dose. Each pen lasts for up to 4 weeks and comes included with needles (Provided separately).

You should follow a step-wise approach to help reduce common gastrointestinal side effects .
The dosing schedule you should follow is:

• Month 1 - 2.5 mg taken subcutaneously once each week
• Month 2 - 5 mg taken subcutaneously once each week
• Month 3 - 7.5 mg taken subcutaneously once each week
• Month 4 – 10 mg taken subcutaneously once each week
• Month 5 – 12 mg taken subcutaneously once each week
• Month 5 onwards – 15 mg taken subcutaneously once each week

One month is equal to 4 weeks

The best places for injection are areas with the most fat, such as your tummy (but not within 5cm of your belly button), the front of your thighs or your upper arms. It’s important to change injection sites regularly. Do not inject into a blood vessel.

Wegovy should be taken at the same time each week.

How do I store Mounjaro?

Before use, Mounjaro needs to be stored in a fridge between 2°C to 8°C. When you order Mounjaro with eShop Pharmacy, we will deliver your medication in temperature-controlled packaging to ensure it arrives within this temperature range.

You should keep this medication refrigerated. Mounjaro can be kept at a temperature below 30°C for a maximum of 30 days.

What are the possible side effects of Mounjaro?

Gastrointestinal side effects are the most common side effects with Mounjaro. This can include constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence and nausea (sickness). You should seek immediate attention if you experience any of the following side effects: severe and ongoing stomach pain or nausea and vomiting as it as it may be a sign of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
